FIDAMC: Advancing Sustainable Composite Technologies

The Fundación para la Investigación, Desarrollo y Aplicación de Materiales Compuestos (FIDAMC) is a prominent Spanish research center specializing in composite materials. Established in 2006 by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, the Regional Government of Madrid, and Airbus Group, FIDAMC is headquartered in Getafe, with over 5,500 m² dedicated to office, laboratory, and workshop space.

While its core expertise lies in aerospace, FIDAMC also develops innovative solutions for other sectors such as wind energy, rail, and automotive. Its mission is to enhance existing technologies and evaluate emerging ones, bridging the gap between research and industrial application.

As a partner in the ECORES-WIND project, FIDAMC focuses on promoting sustainable composite materials—prioritizing repairability, reusability, and extended product lifespans. By serving as a key link between academia and industry, FIDAMC plays a vital role in supporting the adoption of circular economy practices in composite manufacturing.
